CALL FOR CANDIDATES – Université de Sherbrooke
This is a full-time professor position at the Longueuil Campus. This employment opportunity has been created to support a potential fall 2019 research-scholar application and is conditional upon reception of a salary award.Candidates must have recognized expertise and have conducted novel work in the area of public-health policy on national and international levels specifically those related to the use of psychoactive substances and associated at-risk behaviours, practices, and lifestyles.
Candidates must:
- Hold a doctorate in a relevant discipline, such as healthscience research, public health, psychology, social services,nursing or social and preventive medicine.
- Have engaged in relevant international postdoctoral studies.
- Have significant expertise in research on public policies related to substance use on the national and international levels.
- Expertise in using open-source data on the national and international levels, and a research program using interdisciplinary approaches coupled with project development centred within the Canadian Institutes of Health.
- Research's knowledge-translation model will be considered an asset.
- Have an excellent publication record in international scientific journals.
- Demonstrate qualities of leadership, teamwork, initiative, and outstanding communication skills and effective and harmonious interaction with various internal and external partners.
- Demonstrate sound capabilities for supervising graduate students.
- Be able to teach in French or do so within the first two years.
- Have experience teaching at the university level.
