Job Search: Tenure-track Assistant Professor position

CIDE’s Public Administration Division invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, with a preferred starting date of July 1st, 2018, but certainly no later than December 1st, 2018.

1. Job description and some background on CIDE

CIDE is looking for a scholar interested in a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Public Administration Division of the Region Centro campus, in Aguascalientes, located in central Mexico. CIDE Región Centro is immersed in a cluster of Research Centers[1]. This environment offers a conducive environment to generate collaborative work amongst researchers with diverse research backgrounds and disciplinary training. This factor has enabled new projects within the diverse programs and research areas of CIDE Región Centro[2]. We seek researchers with a strong background in public policy and/or public administration/public management. We expect the candidate to be open to multidisciplinary dialogue and capable of offering substantive contributions in state-of-the-art areas of scholarship, using quantitative, qualitative and/or mixed methods.

CIDE is a public research centre in social science with national and international prestige. Usual teaching load is one course per semester. CIDE offers publishing bonuses as well as a diverse range of mechanisms for research support. Furthermore, the candidate will be able to apply for the National Researcher Systems of the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACyT). Being a National Researcher comes with an additional monetary bonus on top of CIDE’s salary.
