PROFESSOR OF POLITICAL SCIENCE-Department of Political Science at Université Laval

The Department of Political Science at Université Laval invites applications for a Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Political Science. The successful candidate for this position will be integrated into the Department of Political Science at Université Laval as a regular professor. Hiring is possible at all university levels. All fields of specialization are open. Duties include research, publication and outreach activities, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervision at the graduate level, and all other activities foreseen by the Collective Agreement. 

About the candidate

For Tier 2 Research Chairs, applicants must:

• Have a doctorate in political science or a related discipline and must provide evidence of teaching excellence.
• Be new researchers recognized by their peers for their potential or achievements in their field.
• Offer a promising and innovative research program while demonstrating interest and skills in teaching.
• Have been an active researcher in their field for fewer than 10 years at the time of the nomination for the CRC.

The successful candidate who meets the eligibility requirements of the CRC program may be supported by the University for tenure as a Tier 2 Chair in Political Science.This status makes it possible to devote more time to scholarship and research.

• Research program (maximum 4 pages), including the following elements:context, methodology, description of proposed training strategies, list of references (maximum one page).
