Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Izmir Katip Celebi University has an opening for a junior faculty member. Applicants are expected to provide an active research agenda and a strong publication record in Public Administration. We encourage both domestic and international candidates to apply.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews. If an international candidate is selected, the candidate will be offered a renewable term appointment at the academic rank of assistant professor starting Autumn 2017, with the possibility of renewal every two years. If a domestic candidate is selected, a probation period of one semester is required, in which the candidate obtains an entitlement for teaching for Autumn 2017. The successful candidate will be offered a tenure-track assistant professor position. The medium of instruction for undergraduate courses is English. We expect the candidate to contribute proactively to undergraduate level teaching. Izmir Katip Celebi University is a public university. Salary is commensurate with the rank.

PhD in Public Administration is required at the time of application. The application package should include a cover letter, a CV, description of the current research agenda, a teaching statement including the list of courses the applicant has taught or can teach, two samples of scholarly research, and three letters of recommendation submitted to kamuyonetimi@ikc.edu.tr.

Review of applications will begin on July 1, 2017. To ensure full consideration, applications must be complete and letters of recommendation received by this date. The position will remain open until filled, but not later than February 1, 2018.
