Among the various projects of IPPA, one of its main objectives is to continue on the contribution to the training of PhD students and young researchers on public Policy, promoting the internationalization of their prospects and knowledge on every continent.

After the succes of the previous Summer Schools in Brasilia - this year arrives to its 3erd edition -, The "International Winter School on Public Policy - Grenoble 2018" is part of this dynamic and offers an unique opportunity in Europe with this first edition. From 8th to 12th January 2018, PhD students and practitioners from across the continent will share together in small groups of 12 students maximum for the workshops and 25 maximum in the courses to allow them a high quality exchange with well known International Scholars.
The Winter School takes place in an habitat that ensures both accommodation and catering, Le Manoir aux Lauzes. This Manoir located at Autrans, France - Only 40 Km from Grenoble - in the mountains in a suitable framework to create an ideal intellectual and working atmosphere.
Please take into that only applicants with a PhD degree or PhD candidates will be considered.

The application and selection process of PhD students and Young scholars (PhD obtained in less than 3 years) for the Winter School is based on the Research Project propoposed by the PhD Student and Young Scholar of 2/3 pages (PDF format).

The number for this International Winter School of place is very limited.
All the Winter School take place in a "Manoir" which has in the same place: seminar rooms and bedrooms. The Manoir aux Lauzes is located in the heart of Autrans, a beautiful small village in the Vercors massif, 50km from Grenoble.
There is different kind of bedroom:
The cost for room and accomodation is 300€ for 4 nights (75€/night from monday to Friday) in multiple room including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You can add options like:
- Single room for 4 nights (limited): +100€ (25€*4)
- Additional night (saturday, sunday) : +75€
- Additional single room: +100€
