My name is Yaguang HAO. I am a Professor of Politics and Public Policy at the Institute for China Rural Studies and Institute for Advanced Study in Political Science of Central China Normal University. My research interests include local and grassroots governance, deliberative participation and policy studies. I like teaching and doing research with students on policies and practices concerning local policy, environmental policy and comparative public policy in mainland China and Taiwan. As the secretary general of the Association of Political Studies in Hubei province, I have been passionately involved in organizing academic activities and knowledge transfer programs in political and policy studies. My experience provides me with better understanding of the importance of collaboration and exchange of knowledge and experience between scholars and experts, and the value of sharing knowledge and experience globally. Aiming to contribute to the international community of public policy studies, I am keen on participating into the college of the international association to promote Chinese and Asian scholars’ and policy practitioners’ active involvement in public policy studies and associated knowledge transfer programs.
