I am a Professor and RBC Chair in Economic and Public Policy in the Department of Political Science and the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. My areas of research include comparative social and family policy, including early childhood education and care; gender and public policy; ideas, norms, and public policy development; and federalism, law and public policy. My current research focuses on politics and policy making regarding primary and secondary education systems in an era marked by disruptive technologies and a growing range of school choice. I have been an IPPA member since the first international conference in Grenoble. I am committed to the IPPA's ongoing mission to build a global and multi-disciplinary community of policy scholars that welcomes a diverse range of approaches and methods. I am interested in serving on the College in order to support and help expand the number of opportunities for training and development of the current and next generation of policy scholars.
