As a woman of ethnicity who received her education at a top Canadian university and has worked with international organizations like the World Bank and UNDP, I believe that I can represent a vast majority of women in the field of public policy in the Middle East, MENA region, and the Global South. My experiences working in policy-related roles in these regions have given me a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing women in the field of public policy. Women of ethnicity are often underrepresented in the field of public policy, particularly in leadership roles. By becoming a member of the IPPA College, I hope to contribute to efforts to promote greater diversity and inclusion in the field. I believe that it is essential to have diverse perspectives and experiences represented in public policy research and practice to ensure that policies meet the needs of all populations. My experiences working with international organizations have given me a deep understanding of the importance of evidence-based policy solutions that are grounded in local contexts and perspectives. As an associate professor of Public Policy, I believe that my background in policy research and analysis can contribute to the College's efforts to promote evidence-based policy making. Furthermore, my experience working in the Middle East, MENA region, and the Global South has given me a unique perspective on the importance of policy solutions that are tailored to local contexts and needs.
