Position : Senior Lecturer
Institution : University of Thomas Sankara
Country : Burkina Faso
Address : Ouagadougou 30010 Ouagadougou

My name is Abdoul Karim SAIDOU. I am an Associate professor of political science at the University Thomas Sankara of Burkina Faso, where I teach, lead the Department of Law and Political science and coordinate Master research in Political science. Since 2022, I have been the head of the Public Policy Research Group of the Doctoral School at the University. My expertise in teaching public policy covers Burkina Faso, Niger and Togo. I have published many articles on Public policy, democracy and security issues. My ambition to become a College member of the International Public Policy Association (IPPA) lies in three reasons. Firstly, I would like to contribute to public policy development through my experience in Africa. Secondly, as coordinator of the public policy research group of my University, my participation in the IPPA college will be an opportunity to create synergies between our work in Africa and the debates at the international level. Additionally, my position within my University may be strategic to enhance IPPA’s programs and philosophies across the Western region of Africa. Finally, my work within the IPPA college would be helpful to deepen my international capacities and experience in teaching and researching public policy.
