Araz Taeihagh

Dear colleagues, I am thrilled to announce my renewed candidacy for the college of IPPA. As many of you know, I have spent the past 16 years researching Public Policy, and my passion for this field grows each year. Over the years, I have contributed to developing IPPA as a co-organiser of the SPPN meetings in Singapore and membership in IPPA college since 2019. Through these experiences, I have witnessed first-hand the value of bringing together researchers from different regions and backgrounds to share their knowledge and insights. If re-elected, my primary goal would be to contribute to the success of IPPA by promoting the study of technology within our field. Since 2017, I have convened various panels on technology in the governance of AI, Autonomous Systems and Platforms, and I hope to further expand this work in the years ahead. Technology is becoming an increasingly important area of study for public policy researchers, and we must explore its implications for society and governance. In addition, I am particularly interested in promoting the visibility and representation of scholars from Asia and Southeast Asia, which are underrepresented in academic circles. I believe that by working together, we can continue to grow and develop this vibrant community of scholars, and I am eager to play my part in this endeavour.
