The College of Public Policy (CPP) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, in collaboration with the University College London’s (UCL) Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose, invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow at CPP in 2024. The principal funding for the position will come from UCL, as part of the Islamic Public Value (IPV) research project supported by the John Templeton Foundation.
Terms and Conditions
1. The position is available for up to 24 weeks (6 months) between January and December 2024, and must be completed by December 31, 2024.
2. Applicants must have completed their PhD at a recognized university within the last 12
months.
3. Fields of interest are in public administration, Islamic studies, the social sciences; religious studies, with an emphasis on research that is aligned with the goals and objectives of the IPV project.
4. The post-doctoral fellow will be assigned a faculty mentor or mentors drawn from CPP, UCL, and possibly other Colleges at HBKU.
5. Deliverables will depend on the length of the stay, but the fellow will be expected to work on a research project aligned with the goals and objectives of the IPV project.
6. Compensation and benefits include: (a) doctoral monthly, (2) return air ticket, (c) housing, (d) visa, and health insurance.
