This cycle of webinars will introduce the French approaches to study the State in Action (l'Etat en action). These approaches often called by “sociology of public action” use classic French authors such as Foucault, Bourdieu, Latour, among others, as well as theoretical and analytical perspectives from the field of sociology, philosophy and history to observe and explain public policies. The cycle will be divided in 5 webinars, with different authors, discussing specific topics of policy studies, as the pragmatic approach, sociology of fields, policy instruments, the role of ideas and more. It is free and will be broadcasted live on YouTube.
