Call for Papers: 2nd Annual Toronto Public Policy and Governance Workshop

A call for papers for the 2nd annual Toronto Public Policy and Governance Workshop wiil be hold in Toronto on March 16th and 17th, 2018. The goal of the workshop is to offer a unique space to disseminate and discuss rigorous and cutting edge public policy and governance research. The workshop will follow the ECPR (European

Consortium for Political Research) joint-sessions format and be limited to a small number of paper givers (~12), with one hour dedicated to each paper. Papers will be circulated in advance and attendees should come ready to discuss, debate, and help strengthen the work of their colleagues.

There is no registration fee and the organizers will provide light refreshments throughout the workshop, along with a workshop dinner.

This year we are particularly interested in papers that deal with comparative public policy. However, we welcome papers that engage with public policy and administration theory, methods, or empirical matters, with a Canadian or international focus. Please submit an abstract of no more than 250 words to Jonathan Craft at the coordinates below by December 1, 2017. Authors of successful proposals will be notified by December 20th, 2017. Full papers will be due by February 26th. Submissions are invited from both emerging and senior scholars. Two spaces will be reserved for doctoral students. Un appel à communications pour le second atelier annuel sur les

politiques publiques et la gouvernance se tiendra à Toronto les 16 et 17 mars 2018. Le but de

l'atelier est de promouvoir un espace unique pour diffuser et discuter des recherches de pointe en

matière de politiques publiques et de gouvernance. L'atelier suivra le format des sessions conjointes de l’ECPR (European Consortium for Political Research) et sera limité à un petit nombre de présentations (~12) en anglais, avec une heure consacrée à chacun des textes.

Les textes seront diffusés à l'avance et les participant(e)s devront commenter le travail de leurs collègues. Il n'y a pas de frais d'inscription et les organisateurs fourniront des rafraîchissements pendant tout l'atelier ainsi qu'un souper.

Nous accueillons des communications portant sur la théorie des politiques publiques et de l'administration, sur des méthodes ou sur des questions empiriques, au Canada ou à l'étranger. Des communications portant sur les politiques publiques comparées sont particulièrement encouragées. Veuillez soumettre un résumé d'un maximum de 250 mots à Jonathan Craft aux coordonnées cidessous d'ici le 1er décembre 2017. Les auteur(e)s des propositions retenues seront avisés d'ici le 20 décembre 2017. Nous invitons les chercheur(e)s émergents et expérimentés à soumettre des propositions. Deux places seront réservées aux doctorant(e)s.
