The Political Science department of the University of Barcelona invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of public policy.

We seek applications from candidates with an outstanding research agenda and teaching profile on public policy. Candidates should have a strong record of publications in top journals in Political Science and Public Policy and teaching capacity. Candidates are also required to hold a PhD at the moment of the application, and to have the accreditation as a “professor lector/profesora lectora” from de Agencia Nacional de Evaluación de la Calidad y Acreditación (ANECA) or the Agencia per a la Qualitat del Sistema Universitari de Catalunya (AQU).

The start period is September 2022, although certain flexibility is possible.

The position implies active involvement in academic research and teaching activities. Most undergraduate courses are typically (but not always) taught in Catalan and/or Spanish, but some of them are also in English, especially graduate courses. The University of Barcelona provides support for new faculty to fulfill linguistic skills. The gross initial salary is about 38.000€ per year and the standard duration of the contract is 5 years.
