Bristol University Press, and its imprint Policy Press, are delighted to announce our 2019 Impact Factors. This year has seen us make impressive gains in the Journal Citation Reports. We have also received the first Impact Factor for the Journal of Poverty and Social Justice.     

 

We would like to thank all authors, reviewers, editors, and partners for their contributions which are essential to the continued success of our journals.

 

To celebrate this result, we have created a free collection of highly cited articles. This collection features papers which have contributed to our 2019 Impact Factors and more recent papers we feel will promote our journals’ future impact. Enjoy the collection for free until 31 August.

Policy & Politics 

Policy & Politics has achieved an impressive result in this year’s Journal Citation Reports with its highest ever Impact Factor of 3.069.

 

This is a substantial increase of 51.3% on the 2018 Impact Factor and places the journal firmly in the first quartile of international journals in the Political Science category and in the top ten journals in the Public Administration category of the Journal Citation Reports.

Evidence & Policy 

Evidence and Policy has continued its reputation of high quality publications with an Impact Factor of 1.453. Evidence & Policy offers a critical assessment of the relationship between researchers, evidence and policy makers. This comprehensive approach has earned the journal a place in the second quartile of international journals in the Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary category of the Journal Citation Reports.

Longitudinal and Life Course Studies

Longitudinal and Life Course Studies continues to grow, receiving its second impact factor of 1.00. This represents an 8.9% growth on the 2018 Impact Factor. Longitudinal and Life Course Studies is published in association with the Society for Longitudinal and Life Course Studies and joined Bristol University Press in 2019.

Journal of Poverty and Social Justice 

We are also thrilled to announce the Journal of Poverty and Social Justice’s first ever Impact Factor of 0.952. This is an important milestone for the journal which publishes work that has rarely been more important than at the present moment.
