This workshop, hosted by Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and titled "Building Citizen Trust in Times of Crisis: Challenges and Opportunities for the Administrative State?", seeks to explore how the administrative state can enhance citizen trust—both interpersonal and institutional—especially in the face of escalating global crises. Submissions are welcome from scholars across theoretical, empirical, and comparative perspectives. The deadline to submit abstracts is June 15, 2025. Organized in a small, discussion-focused format with around 30 active participants, it will provide a collegial setting for deep engagement with the topic. The workshop will be held at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona on December 4-5, 2025.
No conference fee will be charged for workshop participation. Ground expenses (including meals during the conference as well as up to two nights of accommodation) will be covered for all paper givers and active participants.
