Following the successful organization of four editions in 2018, 2022, and 2024, each attracting around 300 to 350 participants from across the globe, and with an upcoming edition taking place in Ottawa in 2026, IPPA is pleased to announce that the call for bids is now open for hosting the next edition of the International Workshops on Public Policy (IWPP6).
The International Workshops on Public Policy are the main intensive academic event hosted by the International Public Policy Association (IPPA) in collaboration with local partners. The IWPP serves as an international and pluralized platform for scholars from around the globe to discuss their latest research and to work collectively on a shared research question. Each IWPP brings together a rich and diverse set of workshops led by internationally recognized scholars. Hosting the International Workshops on Public Policy (IWPP) offers significant benefits for your institution by enhancing internationalization and global visibility. Partnering with the IPPA provides direct engagement with a diverse global network of scholars, broadening your institutional horizons.
The sixth edition of the IWPP will be organized by the IPPA in collaboration with local partners in 2029. This Call for Bids is issued with the objective of welcoming proposals that can fulfill the expectations of the Association.
IWPP6 will be organized over four days to better accommodate the increased number of workshop submissions observed in recent editions. However, if the volume of workshop submissions permits, the event may be shortened back to its original three-day format.
For the edition scheduled for 2029, the Association might consider holding the event during two potential time periods:
Although this decision will not be finalized by the end of the call for bids, institutions interested in organizing IWPP must indicate in their application whether they are able to host the event during one or both of these periods.
