The Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Society offers funding up to $150,000 for scholars working on interdisciplinary projects that fall within PPE’s (very broad) ambit. Our aim is to foster and support interdisciplinary work aimed at understanding social and political institutions, both formal and informal. Information about the grants is available HERE.

Initial short proposals are due January 5, 2026.

The funding is for teams of two or more people who are bringing together tools, theories, or insights from different disciplines. (Individuals “in search of a team” and teams “in search of additional individuals” are able to submit applications in the first phase of the application process.)

Team members do not have to be in different departments, though they may be; they do not need to be working at the same institutions, though they may; and they do not need to be working specifically within the fields that figure in the PPE Society’s name, though, again, they may.
