The Editorial Management Board of the journal Evidence & Policy invites applications for Associate EditorsEvidence & Policy is the first peer-reviewed journal dedicated to comprehensive and critical assessment of the relationship between research evidence and the concerns of policy makers and practitioners, as well as researchers.  The journal is international and cross disciplinary.  It achieved an ISI Impact Factor at its first submission and now has an Impact Factor of 1.836.

Beginning in January 2022, Dr. Zachary Neal (Michigan State University) and Dr. Caroline Oliver (University College London) will assume the role of Co-Editors-in-Chief. Both new and continuing Associate Editors will work closely with the Co-Editors-in-Chief to continue the journal’s existing mission, as well as to expand in new directions, including attracting interdisciplinary scholarship and encouraging open science practices.

Associate Editors play a critical role in the editorial process, particularly in taking papers through the peer review process. Working with a Co-Editor-in-Chief, they invite peer reviewers, correspond with authors and make decisions about which papers to include, revise, or reject. They also play an active role on the Editorial Management Board, which meets twice a year, and work with the Co-Editors to inform strategic decisions about the journal’s direction and activities. The Board discusses managerial aspects of publishing a journal, and offers opportunities to engage in strategic academic activities supporting the development of the field. While workloads vary, most Associate Editors spend between 1-2 hours per week on journal activities. The standard term of an Associate Editor is 3 years.
