CALL FOR PANELS

4th International Conference on Public Policy

26th-28th June 2019 - MONTREAL

Organised by the International Public Policy Association (IPPA) 
at Concordia University

Following the success of the first three International Conferences on Public Policy in Grenoble (2013), Milan (2015) and Singapore (2017) attended by over 1,300 participants from more than 73 countries, 165 panels, 268 sessions of 2h and over 1.200 paper presentations, we are pleased to invite you to submit a panel proposal for the fourth International Conference on Public Policy, the leading international conference for public policy scholarship organised by the International Public Policy Association with the support of Concordia University. The Conference will take place at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada from 26th-28th June 2019 (preconference 25th June)

 

The Call for panels for the International Conference on Public Policy 4, June 26-28, 2018, Montreal, is currently open until the 26th October. We invite Scholars to submit a panel proposal on a Research Question allowing policy researchers working on the same issues to present and to discuss their work with participants. The panel proposals can be on any particular or multiple perspectives (theoretical, methodological, or empirical approaches are all welcome). All panel proposals are open, submit without papers proposal and will must contain a “Call for Papers” which will be published on our website during the Call for papers (15th November 2018 - 30th January 2019) if the panel is selected. 

 

All panel proposals will be reviewed by the International Scientific Committee of ICPP.  After the panel selection, the panel chairs will receive paper proposals through our website and will select among them papers of a high quality which correspond to their Research Question. A Panel chair will select from 4 to 15 papers and will organize 1 to 3 sessions of 2 hours during ICPP4. To foster robust, inclusive and wide-ranging discussions, IPPA is seeking panels and sessions covering a wide array of topics, disciplines, theories and methodologies from both emerging and established scholars


To submit a panel:

1. Log in to your account or Create an account on our Website as well as all the other co-chairs of the panel: HERE

2. Complete the online form with the following information (in English) :

   a. Title of the panel.

   b. Choice of general topic in a list

   c. Email address of any other Panel Chair(s) 

   d. A description of the objectives of the panel and its scientific relevance from 300 to 500 words max. The description must explain in which context this topic takes place, contain a brief state of the art, present the research question to interrogate and the different hypotheses the panel can explore

   e. A text for a “Call for Papers” of around 500 words that explains the research question the paper proposal which want to be submitted must take into account and the kind of papers the panel chairs expects.
