ABOUT IRIC

The International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC) is an institution with an international vocation by the nature of its studies, the composition of its teaching staff, and its openness to foreign students. Its primary missions are training and research in the field of international studies, retraining, and further training of officers and executives of foreign ministries. IRIC is an institute of higher education and an observatory for international relations. As of today, the Institute has trained and retrained approximately 2,700 diplomatic personnel of about 40 nationalities, mostly African, and some nationals from the American and Asian continents. For about ten years, in order to adapt to international changes and the demands of globalization and in order to support public authorities in the Emergent process, IRIC has broadened its training offer. In addition to diplomacy, a basic field of study, there are now other fields such as International Banking and Finance, International Disputes, Communications and International Public Action, Regional Integration and Management of Community, Institutions of International Marketing, International Cooperation, Humanitarian Action, Sustainable Development, etc. 

IRIC also provides Masters Courses in partnership with other institutions: Francophonie and Globalization with Jean Moulin University, Lyon III in France, Sustainable Development (CA2D) in partnership with the University of Padua in Italy, Cultural Diversity, Peace and International Cooperation with ISESCO, International Security, in partnership with the International School of Security Forces (EIFORCES).

IRIC is an excellent framework for the training and capacity building of personnel from both public administrations and the private sector through the Diplomatic and Protocolary Internship program and the organization of conferences and symposia.

ABOUT YAOUNDE

Yaoundé is the capital and largest city of Cameroon, located in Central Africa. It serves as the political and administrative center of the country and is situated in the central region, surrounded by lush hills and forests, with a population of approximately 2.7 million. The city is a melting pot of cultures and ethnicities, with people from various regions of Cameroon and other African nations living there. This diversity is reflected in its rich cultural heritage. Yaoundé is a vibrant and diverse city that serves as the political and cultural heart of Cameroon.  Yaoundé hosts several universities, including the University of Yaoundé I and the University of Yaoundé II, the Protestant University of Central Africa (UPAC), and more. These institutions contribute to education and research in the country.

Yaoundé is known for its lush greenery and pleasant climate. The city's hilly terrain provides beautiful views, and there are numerous parks and gardens for residents and visitors to enjoy. The temperature around the year remains constant and due to the altitude (2,500 ft above sea level), it is not that hot although the country is close to the equator. The city is connected by road and rail to other major cities in Cameroon. The Nsimalen International Airport provides both domestic and international flights.

ABOUT KRIBI

Kribi is a picturesque coastal town located in the Littoral Region of Cameroon, West Africa. It is known for its stunning natural beauty and serves as a popular tourist destination. Kribi is situated along the shores of the Gulf of Guinea, boasting beautiful sandy beaches and clear blue waters. The town is a coastal paradise, making it a sought-after destination for beach lovers and water enthusiasts. Kribi is surrounded by lush tropical rainforests and several protected natural reserves, making it an ideal location for eco-tourism and wildlife enthusiasts. The Campo Ma'an National Park is one of the prominent reserves in the area. Kribi is home to a mix of ethnic groups, each with its own cultural traditions and languages. This diversity adds to the rich cultural tapestry of the town. Water sports such as swimming, snorkeling, and fishing are popular activities in Kribi, given its coastal location and pleasant climate.

Kribi is accessible by road from the capital city, Yaoundé, which is approximately 3-4 hours away. The road journey is scenic, passing through the countryside and villages.
