How to travel to Barcelona ?

As part of the measures implemented by the Government of Spain to protect the general public's health when traveling to Spain, all passengers from a high-risk country must present a negative PCR or TMA for SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus carried out in the 72h before arrival. Barcelona by Airplane

Barcelona - El Prat Josep Tarradellas airport is 13 km from the center of Barcelona (Plaza Catalunya), which represents about 20 to 30 minutes. The airport has two terminals: the T1 and the T2 which is subdivided into three subterminals (T2A, T2B, T2C). The two terminals are linked by a free shuttle bus. It works from 5 am to 12pm.

The distance and the numerous means of public transport that connect it with the city, make it a very accessible airport.

Taxi from airport to city: €25-€35

The Aerobus service is an express bus service that links the airport to the city center in 35 minutes. This service normally runs between 5 and 10 minutes within its fixed hours of operation. You can catch the Aerobus from outside both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The Aerobus will then take you to the city centre where you can alight either at Plaça España or Plaça Catalunya.

Barcelona by Train

Train from London and/or Paris to Barcelona: You can speed from Paris to Barcelona in just 6 hrs 30 mins and the journey from London to Barcelona is easily managed in a day. The best option is to take a morning Eurostar to Paris, connecting in the French capital with a high-speed TGV train direct to Barcelona. Barcelona Sants station is the primary train station for national and international arrivals and departures. Situated in the west of the city, it is easily reached by bus, taxi or the (Blue Line, L5) and (Green Line L3) who's lines both have a stop here.
The average train ticket price from Paris to Barcelona usually costs around $193.61 two weeks before travel but can start from as little as $36.10 when you book in advance. Prices also vary depending on the time of day, route and class you book.

Train from Madrid to Barcelona: You can travel from Madrid to Barcelona on Renfe and AVE trains. The average train time from Madrid to Barcelona is 3h, although it takes just 2h 30m on the fastest direct Renfe Ave services. There are around 26 trains per day running from Madrid to Barcelona, the first train leaves Madrid Atocha at 06:10 and the last train leaves at 21:30. All trains depart from Madrid Atocha station and all trains arrive into Barcelona Sants station. Trains departing 30 days in advance will cost around £65 while booking 7 days in advance the price is around £58. Booking on the day of travel is likely to be more expensive.
