Practical infos

Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region of China and one of the most densely populated cities in the world, with about 7.5 million people living in a total area of 1,108 km². Built around a deep natural harbor, Hong Kong is made up of 263 islands. The city is a global financial and cultural hub, known for its impressive skyscrapers and striking natural landscapes of mountains and coastline.

Hong Kong seamlessly blends ancient traditions with modern life and remains shaped by centuries of trade and its colonial heritage. Notable sites range from traditional Chinese temples to landmarks from the British colonial era, including Victoria Peak, Victoria Harbour, the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island, and bustling districts such as Central and Tsim Sha Tsui. Despite its modern skyline, Hong Kong also boasts extensive country parks and nature reserves, offering a unique balance between urban life and nature.
