IPPA is pleased to announce the fourth edition of the Nairobi Summer School, scheduled to take place from April 12th to 16th, 2027. The International Summer School on Public Policy - Nairobi Edition 2027 will be hosted in partnership with the University of Nairobi.

The Summer School aims to provide an opportunity for PhD students and early career researchers to put forward their knowledge of Public Policy theories, concepts, and methodologies. Students will participate in workshops/case studies where they will be able to discuss their research projects and receive feedback from both their peers and acclaimed scholars in the field.

The Summer School will offer each participant the opportunity to follow:

  • A joint lecture of 1 hour every morning, proposed by different international scholars, addressed to all the participants;
  • A course of 2 hours every morning, proposed by three different international scholars, addressed to a smaller group of 10 to 15 participants;
  • Workshop groups in the afternoon to discuss the research project of each participant, addressed to the same smaller group of 10 to 15 participants.

The courses will be taught by three internationally renowned policy scholars. Joseph Obosi (University of Nairobi), Marleen Brans (KU Leuven Public Governance Institute), and Charlotte Halpern (Sciences Po Paris, Centre d'Études Européennes).

Further information on the specific courses is forthcoming. We encourage you to stay connected for more details to come in the near future!
