Stretching over 200 km and accessible just minutes from downtown Ottawa, the Rideau Canal connects Ottawa to Kingston and is one of Canada’s most iconic landmarks. In summer, it’s perfect for boat cruises, kayaking, cycling, or strolling along its scenic pathways.

The Ottawa River offers world-class whitewater rafting and calmer kayaking options. Several tour operators organize guided trips suitable for all skill levels.

Ottawa has also beaches! Mooney’s Bay, Britannia Beach, and Petrie Island are popular spots and are easily accessible by car, bike, or public transportation.

Gatineau Park (Quebec)
