FEES & OPTIONS

Participants originating from the Global South benefit from adapted registration fees : 

For students from global south, the fees are as follows: Early period registration: R$ 125 ; Normal period registration: R$ 200 ; Late  period registration: R$ 300

For researchers and professionals from global south, the fees are as follows: Early period registration: R$ 250 ; Normal period registration: R$ 400 ; Late  period registration: R$ 600

University of Brasilia Undergraduate students : Free of charge

Your final fee includes your registration to participate in the entire event, including panels and workshops (please make sure to check which category, period, and world region you fall under).

It does not include the two activities below, which require voluntary sign-up and an additional fee.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Insurgent Democracy Experiences / On-site Visits:
Registration lists will be made available two months before the event. There will be three different options, each offering a distinct experience of insurgent democracy located in Brasília. All visits will include a roundtable discussion. Each visit will have 20–25 available spots. There will be an additional cost of BRL 50. Payment should be made on the first day of the event in Brasília, in cash (Brazilian reais, euros, or US dollars). This amount will be fully transferred to the three host organizations and includes a snack.

Ethnographic Walks in Brasília:
Registration lists will be made available one month before the event. These walks will have an additional cost of BRL 30 (approximately USD 6). Payment should be made on the first day of the event in Brasília, in cash (Brazilian reais, euros, or US dollars). This amount will be directed to the project led by Urbanism and Architecture students who are organizing the walks.

REGISTRATION

There are 3 distinct periods to register for the Conference

1. Early Bird period: until August 3, 2026
2. Regular Fees period: from August 4 to September 11, 2026
3. Late period: from September 12 to November 9, 2026

To benefit from the lowest fees and help with the overall organization, we highly recommend registering during the early bird period, which ends on 3 August 2026. Registrations for the Conference will close on 9 November 2026. 

IPPA Refund Policy

In the event of a cancellation, the following refund rules will apply: before August 3, 2026, 100% reimbursement; from August 2 to November 9, 50% reimbursement of registration fees; after November 9, NO reimbursement will be made.

We do not provide partial refunds . Note that if you have taken a refund during one payment period, you will not be able to re-register in the same payment period.

Special refund considerations could be made for panel chairs or registered authors with an accepted paper whose Brazilian visa applications have been denied, if proof is presented. Final decision on the refund rests with the Executive Commitee.

The memberships are non-refundable.

All disputes arising out of the registration process will be subject to the laws of the Republic of France.
