How to Register for IPA2026BR
Registration for the 14th Interpretive Policy Analysis Conference — IPA2026BR, which will take place in Brasília from November 9 to 11, 2026, is now open.
Registration grants access to the entire conference program, including panels, workshops, opening and closing activities, and other official event sessions. Please note that the registration fee does not include the following activities: Insurgent Democracy Experiences/on-site visits and ethnographic walks in Brasília. These two activities are optional and require an expression of interest and an additional payment.
All IPA2026BR participants are required to register. This includes:
authors presenting papers in conference panels;
workshop participants;
participants who wish to attend the conference without presenting a paper;
participants attending any other official conference activities.
Before starting your registration, please check your registration category, the applicable registration period, and the corresponding payment method below.
1. Check the Registration Period
IPA2026BR has three registration periods:
To benefit from the lowest registration fees and contribute to the overall organization of the event, we strongly recommend registering during the Early Bird period.
Registration for IPA2026BR will close on November 9, 2026.
2. Identify Your Registration Category and Fee
The registration fee depends on three factors:
your category — student or researcher/professional;
your region — Global South or Global North;
the registration period in which your payment is made.
3. Choose Your Payment Method
The registration procedure varies depending on the currency and payment method selected.
A. Payment by Credit Card or International Bank Transfer
Participants who wish to pay in euros or US dollars, either by credit card or international bank transfer, must use the IPPA platform.
Credit card payments are made directly through the platform and are the recommended payment method.
Step by step
Step 1: Access your account on the IPPA platform
In the side menu, click on “Registration” and log in to the platform.
Step 2: Choose whether you wish to become an IPPA member
A page will ask whether you would like to become an IPPA member.
IPPA membership is not required to participate in the conference.
If you do not wish to become a member, simply click “Next” to continue.
Step 3: Select your payment method
Choose between:
credit card; or
international bank transfer.
If you choose to pay by bank transfer, an invoice will be automatically generated containing all the information required to complete the payment. Your registration will be confirmed after the bank transfer has been received.
Step 4: Check the amount and complete the payment
A new page will open. Please carefully check your registration category and the amount displayed before completing the payment.
The fees are automatically determined according to your registered profile and the applicable registration period.
If the category or amount displayed does not correspond to your situation, do not complete the payment. Please contact the IPA2026BR Organizing Committee at ipa2026br@gmail.com
Step 5: Wait for confirmation
After completing the payment, your registration will be processed and you will subsequently receive a confirmation email from IPPA.
B. Payment in Brazilian Reais (BRL) by PIX or Domestic Bank Transfer
Participants paying in Brazilian reais (BRL), especially Brazilian participants and those eligible for the Global South registration categories, may make their payment directly to ANEPECP — Associação Nacional de Ensino e Pesquisa do Campo de Públicas, an IPA2026BR partner institution in Brazil.
Step by step
Step 1: Identify your registration category — Following the specifications under “Conference fees” on the IPA platform
Check whether your registration falls under the category of:
student; or
researcher/professional.
Then, check the applicable registration period and the corresponding fee indicated in the table above.
Step 2: Pay the corresponding registration fee
Payment may be made by PIX or domestic bank transfer.
PIX
CNPJ: 22.822.867/0001-65
Domestic Bank Transfer
Account holder: Associação Nacional de Ensino e Pesquisa do Campo de Públicas – ANEPECP
Bank: SICOOB
Branch: 4002
Checking account: 38.675-8
It is essential that the correct payment amount be determined according to your registration category, the applicable registration period, and the fees established for Global South participants. If the payment amount is incorrect, the registration will not be confirmed.
Step 3: Send your proof of payment — mandatory and essential
After completing the payment, please send the proof of payment to: ipa2026br@gmail.com
In the email, please also provide:
subject line: “proof of payment”;
full name;
institution;
country;
registration category.
This information is important and essential for the Organizing Committee to identify your payment and correctly link it to your registration.
Step 4: Wait for confirmation
Once your payment has been identified and validated, your registration will be confirmed by the IPA2026BR Organizing Committee.
4. Important: All Participants Must Have an Account on the IPPA Platform
Regardless of the payment method selected, all participants must have an account on the IPPA platform.
The platform is used to manage participation in the conference and information related to IPA2026BR.
Therefore, even participants who pay in Brazilian reais directly to ANEPECP must ensure that their registration details on the platform are up to date.
Fees & Options
The registration fee provides access to the entire conference, including panels and workshops. Before making your payment, please make sure that you have correctly identified your registration category, registration period, and corresponding region.
The registration fee does not include the two optional activities listed below, which will require separate sign-up and an additional payment.
Optional Activities

The full amount collected will be transferred to the three host organizations and includes a snack.

The walks will have an additional fee of BRL 30.00 (approximately USD 6). Payment may be made on the first day of the event in Brasília, in cash — Brazilian reais, euros, or US dollars.
The amount collected will be directed to the project developed by the Urbanism and Architecture students responsible for organizing the walks.
