Leadership Members

The steering committee consists of leadership members present in IPPA’s Executive Committee and/or College.

• Mireille Manga: She's an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Yaoundé II, in Cameroon

• Bishnu Prasad Mohapatra: He's an Assistant Professor of Political Science in School of Liberal Arts, MIT-World Peace University, Pune, India

• Preeti Raghunath: She's a Lecturer in Digital Media and Society at the University of Sheffield, UK.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee members consists of early career research scholars who have come together to support the collective pursuit of advocating for the Global South at the Global stage. The members represent the geographies of Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Central America within the Global South through their academic roles, their community roles and in overall advocacy. 

• Aritra Chakrabarty (Founder & Research Chair): Adjunct Faculty of Sociology in the Department of Social Sciences at Michigan Technological University, USA

• Reyner Villasenor (South & South-east Chapter Chair) : Professor of Public Administration at the Graduate School of Public Administration at University of Perpetual Help System-DALTA, Philippines 

• Deborah David (Latin & Caribbean Chapter Chair): PhD student at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO) Ecuador

• Justa Mwangi (Events and Programming Lead): Postdoctoral scholar at Kenyatta University specializing in public policy, with a particular focus on governance, development, Kenya

• Juan Guillermo Vieira Silva (Membership and Engagement Lead): Assistant Professor of Public Policy at Universidad EAFIT, Colombia
