ACTIVITIES & PROGRAM

IPA 2026 Brazil brings together the interpretive policy analysis community in Brasília (9–11 November 2026) for three days of plenary sessions, curated paper panels, critical-interpretive workshops, field visits, and an ethnographic walk through the city. See details below:

Activities & Program

1.     Opening and closing plenary sessions, bringing together leading scholars to reflect on themes that matter most to our critical-interpretive community.

2.     Curated paper panels, featuring selected contributions and chaired by members of the Scientific Committee. The number of panels will be limited in order to ensure high-quality dialogue and meaningful engagement. Thematic calls will be announced very soon.

3.     Critical-interpretative workshops on topics central to our field. These sessions will be open to all participants and scheduled without overlap with the paper panels, allowing everyone to engage fully.

4.     Field visits, offering the opportunity to reflect collectively while engaging directly with Brazilian experiences of insurgent and participatory democracy.

5.     Ethnographic walk through Brasília, inviting participants to explore the intersections between urban politics and climate change through situated, collective inquiry.

We are carefully structuring the program to encourage rich exchanges, new collaborations, and lasting connections.
