Call for Papers: We invite applications for paper presentations from graduate students and recent PhDs in the fields of Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, as well as from Politics and Law, Political Economy, Political Philosophy, Political Psychology, Political Sociology and Political Communication.
Research Workshops: Graduate students are encourages to submit paper abstracts (no longer than 300 words) in English only, to be considered to one (or more) of the fourteen research workshops. Because the number of participants in each workshop is limited, the workshop leader/s will choose those proposals most suited to the workshop. Submissions should represent original research. All workshop participants must submit a paper ahead of the workshop, read the papers of the pther participants and take an active part in the workshop. Workshops usually run a full day (most of them will take place December 14th). Participants are committed to attend the workshop proceedings throughut this time. All papers should be sent to discussants and workshop leaders by December 1, 2017.
Methodological Workshops: In addition to the thirteen research workshops, five methodological workshops will take place on december 13th. As with the research workshops, the methodology workshops require an intensive commitment on the part of the participants. The methodology workshops are intended mostly for students participating in the two days of the conference, so students are encouraged to apply both to methodological workshops (without paper presentations) and the research workshops.
Submission Guidelines: Application forms will be available on the Conference website address by the beginning of August 2017.
The applications should be submitted as soon as possible, and no later than September 30th, 2017.
Since the website is being upgraded those days, please send us by e-mail your paper abstracts, indicating your name, email, academic affiliation,
and to which research panel you want to consider your abstract.
Applicants will be notified by October 15th, 2017, regarding acceptance of their paper.
Registration: Upon acceptance, registration for the conference (including payment) should be completed by November 15th, 2017 through the website. After this date, late registration fees might apply.
Regular conference registration fee is 150 Israeli Shekel.
Best Paper Award: A committee comprised of leading Israeli scholars in the fields of Political Science, International Relations and Public Policy will select the best paper presented at the Conference. Papers submitted via email by midnight November 15th, 2017,will be consired for the award. Co-authored papers are accepted only if all the authors are graduate students. The lenght of the paper should not exceed 10.000 words (including bibliography and notes). Althoug PhD dissertations and MA theses are not eligible for the competitions, papers based on these may be submitted.
