The Department of Asian and Policy Studies of the Education University Hong Kong (EdUHK) proudly announces that the 2nd International Summer Training Camp for Young Public Policy Scholars will take place in Hong Kong from August 3 to 9, 2019, following the great success of the inaugural workshop. This one-week intensive training program synthesizes a variety of theoretical as well as methodological skills that are essential for early-career scholars and doctoral students in the field of public policy. A team of distinguished scholars and practitioners will host a series of workshop on cutting-edge academic topics such as big data, experimental research, institutional analysis, and action research, among others.
Supported by the Asia-Pacific Public Policy Network, Policy and Society: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Policy Studies, and Journal of Asian Public Policy, this training camp is a non-profit initiative. The standard fee is tentatively set as HK$8,000 (as a reminder 1HK$=0.11€=0.13US$) that includes accommodation (student hostels in EdUHK), meals, and local transportation costs. No other major expenses are expected.
