I am a PhD student in Paris (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales) and I am planning to come to the end of a few months. My research focuses on the representation of time in politics, furthermore how public policy can be an empirical way to analyse it. In my cursus, I studied political sciences, geography, urbanism and history. I was swung between each of these academics disciplines and I think interdisciplinary approches need to be backed. IPPA is a good way to do that.
In the second place, I will arrive in a difficult period between the end of the PhD and getting a position in scientific’s institution. My actual experience show me how it’s difficult for student to understand and to learn norms of the international scientific world. I think it’s important to have a point of view from this category of young researchers to find some solutions to help them to participate in the organisation of conferences and meetings. I will be motivated to confront national conditions and approaches of this question in an international association.
