As a political scientist with a background in interpretation theory holding PhDs in each field, I combine these two perspectives in my research, which explains transformation of policy processes and civil society through emotional accounts of knowledge.
The reason i want to apply for the college is that I have well-developed skills of academic management that I can trun into direct assets for the Association. Viennese Department of Political Science hosted – under my scientific coordination – the 8th Interpretive Policy Analysis Conference in 2013, a joint annual meeting of interpretive researchers gather in 300 scholars from around the world. Through this experience, I command an excellent overview of current research in public policy, critical urban studies or social policies that I can use for networking activities and ofr the seaerch of academic venues hosting IPPA Meetings..As a Convenor of the ECPR Standing Group on Theoretical Perspectives in Policy Analysis (together with Hendrik Wagenaar and Koen Bartels), I am in a position develop and provide links with ECPR.
I also regularly participate in peer-coaching activities and career-development consultations for early career researcher and I can bring this in the association.
I am Forum Editor for the journal Critical Policy Studies, where I am responsible for timely debates on latest political trends and innovative theoretical approaches from the field of public policy, policy studies, social policy or political theory.
