I am interested in contributing to the work of IPPA and advancing policy matters based on my practical and academic experience. I am Belgian, I lived and worked in several countries.
As consultant I am involved in developing public policy system in Arab countries (currently in mission on this topic in Iraq). Since 2013 I launched Middle East Development Network [MDN Corporation] specialized in public policy and governance, After many years of working in (local) government (Belgium, Turkey, + Balkans & Arab world) I joined in 2013 the academia as lecturer in Dept. of Public Administration of Marmara University in Istanbul. I train in English, French, Turkish, Arabic, and Russian. I hold BA in Communication, MA in Local Government, currently writing up PhD dissertation on decentralization.
My primary areas of expertise are alternative diplomacy, public administration & policy, decentralization, migration & integration, youth & higher education. With ambition of innovator, in my work I try to develop novel methodologies drawing from a range of disciplines, combining both practitioner and researcher perspectives.
I am also member of Executive Committee of Section on Effective and Sound Administration in the Middle East (SESAME) of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA).
