IPPA has achieved so much in a few short years, expanding membership, reach and reputation. It has been a great pleasure for me to get to know some of its founders and members through my institution, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), National University of Singapore, and to have participated in ICPP 2015 in Milan. LKYSPP will host ICPP 2017 and I am looking forward to that chance to get to know more IPPA members and to contribute to the success of the conference.
As a European based in Asia and conducting the core of my research in Asia, I would hope to help keep up the momentum of cooperation between Asian and European academics shown in this year’s ICPP and to help extend the Association’s role in the region.
I work on water policy and governance, with a focus on water in cities, a policy area that is increasingly salient in many countries. My research is concerned with organization-level incentives and the design of governance frameworks and I am currently involved in two Asia-Europe research grant collaborations on these lines.
It would be an honour to be involved in ICPP’s next phase of development. I would bring great energy and enthusiasm for the IPPA project to the College.
