I have been doing comparative research on public policy for a few years now and I continue to be excited about it and to identify new theoretical perspectives and empirical puzzles worth to be explored by a diverse set of data and methods. I believe that my experience (also as an associate editor to Policy Sciences) and sustained scientific curiosity regarding policy-related research questions make me a suitable candidate for the IPPA college. I enjoy doing collaborative research with both established and emerging scholars from all world regions, which I think aligns well with the spirit of the IPPA. I firmly believe that we need to develop policy analysis further by becoming more aware of topics and approaches coming from all world regions. Moreover, I support combining policy analysis with other sub-disciplines in political science such as comparative politics or political economy and neighboring disciplines like psychology or sociology. Altogether, I believe to offer a good mix of knowledge of and commitment to the established ideas about public policy and a disposition to define a new approach to the study of public policy.
Thank you for considering my candidacy!
Best regards
