Caroline Ikiriinya

"It’s hard to imagine a domain of public life that isn’t affected by public policy." Thus, today any society requires a strong public policy ecosystem that is driven to provide the best solutions to society’s problems. Thus, my passion to be part of the drivers of positive social change in my community led me to pursue a career in public policy but also be among the co-founder of the Association of Policy Practitioners (APP) in Kenya in 2021. Under the association I seat at the National Executive Committee and serve as the Director of Finance and Administration. This opportunity to serve in the association as really challenged my leadership and governance skills and it’s been the key motivation to submit my candidature. I believe joining the college, will not only provide an opportunity to serve the members diligently but also be an avenue to share knowledge and learn best practices that will aid APP to propel to the next level. My name is Caroline Kinya Ikiriinya, a Kenyan citizen currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy the university of Nairobi. I hold a Masters in Public Policy from Peking University coupled with a BA from the University of Nairobi and a diploma in International Relation.
