SHAKIR ULLAH

I am a cultural anthropologist and my main area include anthropology of development and political anthropology. More specifically, I want to connect anthropological theory and ethnographic data with broader public policy issues. I am a member of IPPA, i will attend the upcoming IPPA conferences at Toronto Metropolitan University in June 2023 to present a case study from South Asia. Why I am interested to become an IPPA college member? because I am researching South Asia from anthropological and public policy perspectives. This region is considered a sub-continent with a huge population and many regional and international problems. I want to represent South Asia as an IPPA college member and contribute to the public policy issues existing in South Asia through the IPPA platform. I think in light of the above, South Asia needs representation in IPPA, i hope i will try my best to contribute in many ways. Thanks
