Pontiano Mulenga

I am Pontiano Mulenga from Zambia Currently staying and working in Zimbabwe. I have a Certificate in Child Safeguarding and Protection and in African Studies, Bachelor Degree in Philosophy, Diploma in Mission and Theological Studies, An Expert Diploma in Business and Economic Consulting, Doctorate in Public Policy and Administration, Currently a Student doing Doctorate in Economics. I have attended many conferences. The recent one is the International Conference on Public Policy (5th – 9th July 2021, Barcelona) where I presented a paper with a topic: Critical Examination of Education Policy in Africa: A Case Study of Zambia’s Education and Skills Development. I have done a lot of youth animation, and being a Clergy I have also been working in the Church Administration where as a leader have served in different capacities, and participated in a number of decision making forums. I am very much interested in doing research especially on issues that affect the young people. I believe, to build the better society, there is a need of empowering the young people of today, educating them with practical skills that are beneficial and relevant today. With the above vast experience, I see that I can be a suitable candidate for the IPPA College able to contribute enormously not only to the Association but also to the global world at large. As a 2 years member of APPAM and IPSA, and 4 years member of IPPA and WEA (World Economics Association), there is a lot I have learnt from my fellow members of which I would love to continue sharing especially in the areas of research and policy making.
