Valerie PATTYN – Leiden University NL

Biography: Valérie Pattyn is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Public Administration at Leiden University, and Visiting Professor at KU Leuven Public Governance Institute. Her research agenda centers on governments' use of evidence, policy work, policy capacity, and policy analysis, with a specialization in policy evaluation. In addition to conducting fundamental research in these areas, she actively engages in policy consulting and evaluation research across diverse policy domains for both national and international organisations. Valérie holds roles in multiple networks, including the International Public Policy Association (College member), European Group for Public Administration (co-chair Permanent Study Group Policy Design and Evaluation);  Flemish Evaluation Association (co-ordination committee); Dutch Evaluation Association (core group), Strengthening & Transferring Evidence for Policies & Politics Society (advisory board), and COMPArative Methods for Systematic cross-caSe analysis (advisory board).
